Each year, Russia's largest online megastore OZON, together with the Russian Association of Electronic Communications, holds the presentation of the Book Runet Prize.
In 2012, more than 140 thousand readers cast their votes for a particular literary creation. The works of art that have reached the finale of the Booket of the Runet entered our current ranking of the best books of 2012.
12. Anthology "All About My Father"
Modern writers, journalists, artists and other iconic people of our time presented essays and stories on the subject of fathers in this collection. The book includes 36 stories.
11. Murakami. 1Q84. One thousand seven hundred eighty-four.
The interweaving of reality and illusion, life realities and philosophical reflections are very characteristic of the works of Murakami. The book, which was included in the ranking of the best in 2012, is no exception. The action of this novel takes place simultaneously in 1984 and in a fictional time.
10. Anthony Horowitz. The house of silk. New adventures of Sherlock Holmes
The most zealous fans of Conan Doyle's work recognized Detective Horowitz as a worthy continuation of the Sherlock Holmes epic. The book is distinguished by a brilliant plot and excellent presentation.
9. Dmitry Bykov, Alexander Vasiliev, Mikhail Efremov. Citizen Poet

The book has many chapters where there is no action, but there are philosophical considerations of the heroes.

The work was recognized as the best Russian novel of the first decade of our century by decision of the jury of the Russian Booker Prize. The book masterfully painted a picture of the life of the Russian province in the Soviet years.
5. Vladimir Pozner. Farewell to Illusions
The book was published in English 21 years ago and was on the New York Times bestseller list for 12 weeks. Our book ranking presents the Russian edition of the autobiographical work.
4. Michelle Welbeck. Map and Territory
The novel was awarded the Goncourt Prize in 2010. The main idea of the work is that a person is involuntarily forced out of the modern world. In the novel, Welbeck portrayed himself next to the main character, revealing his own life for the views of readers.
3. Jonathan Littell. Favors
One of the most titled books in the 2012 ranking was awarded the Goncourt Prize, as well as the French Academy Grand Prix. This historical novel, written on behalf of an SS officer, has been translated into 20 languages, and in Europe has become an absolute bestseller.
2. Patrick Ness. Treads of Chaos
The novel is a symbiosis of fiction and dystopia. The work is a trilogy, characterized by an exciting plot and a call not to give up in any, even the most difficult, situation.

Titlebook best book of 2012, was recognized as a laureate of the Book Runet Prize following the results of a spectator vote.
