If you are not one of those who claim to have not watched Game of Thrones and asks: “Am I the only one?”, You probably were looking forward to the final 8 season of one of the most popular TV shows of our time. And, perhaps, they were speculating about who would eventually occupy the Iron Throne, and what would happen to the main characters.
We present to your attention the most plausible theories about how the Game of Thrones might end and what awaits the main characters in the near future. Recheck these theories for season 8, as the main battle of the year continues.

10. John Snow (Eigon Targaryen)
Even the daggers that reached John’s depths could not hold him for more than two episodes. He is the King of the North! And he is Targaryen by birth, the son of Reigar Targaryen, which gives him legal rights to the Iron Throne.
And if John Snow is Azor Achai from the prophecy, the great warrior who is destined to save all people, then he will defeat the King of the Night.
Theoretically, after that, all John needs to do is reveal his true origin in order to overthrow Cersei. The whole North is behind it, and for the inhabitants of Westeros, he is the savior from the most terrible threat that you can imagine.
But we will still see what Daenerys thinks about this.
9. Daenerys Targaryen
The threat of White Walkers so far forces Daenerys to abandon the battle directly with Cersei. To survive, she will need to use the power of the remaining two dragons to burn the army of the dead. If we take into account everything related to the murder of the White Walkers, then if someone has the methods necessary to defeat the King of the Night, this is probably Daenerys.
In her visions at the House of Immortals, Daenerys saw snow falling on the Iron Throne, but this could only be a metaphor for the attack of the King of the Night, who arrived at King's Landing. In any case, only Denis has the firepower and strength to be able to hold the Royal Harbor and claim the throne, and the future of Westeros is in her hands.
8. Baby Targaryen
There has been a lot of talk about children in the last two episodes of season 7. Daenerys continued to insist that she was barren, and Jorah Mormont gave his father's sword to John Snow so that he could pass it on to his children.
It seems that we are building on the threshold of the appearance of a wonderful child born of incest Targaryen. The parents of this child will be the two most famous and powerful commanders at the moment. And if John and Daenerys are successful in fighting the army of the dead, the miracle infant Targaryen will be next in line for the Iron Throne.
George R. R. Martin teased fans that the finale of “Songs of Ice and Fire” would be “bittersweet,” so the miracle child is likely to remain an orphan soon after birth. Perhaps John will die fighting the army of the dead; maybe Denis will die after giving birth. It is possible that the guardian of the child will be Tyrion or Jorah, until the young Targaryen reaches adulthood.
7. Tyrion Lannister
There are several theories about how Tyrion Lannister can become the new ruler of the Seven Kingdoms. The most amazing of them (but possible if there is “this is a turn!”) Is that Tyrion is also Targaryen.
George Martin’s books say that Crazy King Ayris II longed for Tyrion’s mother and might have been Tyrion’s father. This would make Tywin's hatred of the dwarf son even more difficult, because he would also hide what happened to his wife. Tyrion Targaryen could theoretically even ride a dragon.
Whether Targaryen is secret or not, Tyrion is currently the hand of Queen Daenerys and the killer of the Lannister patriarch. Plus, he has excellent managerial and military experience, and worldly wisdom.
It is hard to imagine how Tyrion will take the Iron Throne while Daenerys is still alive, but it is easy to imagine that Bes will be a better king than John Snow. Especially if John has to sacrifice himself to end the "long winter."
6. Cersei Lannister
The first queen of the Seven Kingdoms, blowing up all of her son’s political rivals (including his queen), is loyal only to her family. More precisely, to those whom she perceives as her family at the moment.
Victory conditions for Cersei include holding the Iron Throne (which she already does) and protecting her unborn children from undead. Oh yes, and revenge on Tyrion and Jaime, who left her.
Cersei also finds joy in crushing his enemies, and it seems that so far everything is going well! All the same, she will have to face the army of the dead, although, as follows from her erroneous logic, she will be exhausted by the battle with the whole North.
It will be completely unexpected if John Snow and Daenerys cannot stop the King of the Night. Then Cersei will be able to throw a "green death" at him with the help of a catapult and see what happens.
5. Baby Lannister
There is another incest child (other than the hypothetical baby Targaryen) who can ultimately win the Game of Thrones. This is Cersei's child if she is really pregnant.
Presumably, the war between the King of the Night and the armies led by John and Daenerys will take some time, and Cersei will have time to bear the child. Seresei himself does not need to be alive after the conflict, so that baby Lannister has the legal rights to the throne.
The prophecy of Maggie the Frog, which we saw in the first episode of season 4, includes a hint of Cersei’s death, she must be killed by the “Valoncar” - the Valerian word meaning “little brother”. Many people take this as a hint at Jaime (her twin brother, born a few moments after her) or Tyrion (her real younger brother, if he is not Targaryen). But if Cersei gives birth to a boy, he will be a “valoncar” for her previous children.
4. Sansa Stark
The “poor sheep” we saw in the first seasons became the real lady of the North, smart, cunning and far-sighted. She is perhaps the only one who thought about how to feed the whole breakthrough of the people that flocked to the Stark House.
To free the North from its current plight, Sansa must remove Daenerys and her army from the northern lands for a long enough time to establish the independence of the North. The conflict between John (Aigon) and Daenerys over who has the most legitimate claims to the Iron Throne can only be in the hands of Sansa.
The northerners are stubborn, but one consistent thing is their devotion to Sansa as Lady of Winterfell. And in order to seize control of the Seven Kingdoms and the Iron Throne, Sansa will need to mobilize a significant force of the North (perhaps her close relationship with Theon can help draw Greyjoy to the North side, plus Robin Arren is still devoted to her) then wait until Cersei self-destruct or deplete their strength. And then go to the Royal Harbor to claim it for yourself. Or, if John survives, he may abandon the throne in favor of the Queen of the North, Lady Winterfell, Sansa Stark. As she promised, the North will never kneel again.
3. Bran Stark
Since Bran became the Three-Eyed Raven, he can change the past in "small doses." And there is one option that will save almost everyone: if Eddard Stark refuses to go south to King's Landing to become King Robert's Hand. In this case, Ned would eventually tell John about his true origin, and would not lose his head.
There is another option. If Bran's ability to travel in time can not radically change history, then they can provide portals between certain periods of time. Therefore, Bran can turn to his namesake, Bran the Builder, and share some of his knowledge on how to defeat the King of the Night.
We know that Bran is the guardian and symbol of all knowledge in the kingdom of men. This means that he must live, and, theoretically, can take the throne of the Seven Kingdoms.
2. Euron Greyjoy
The boisterous and unpredictable Euron controls the Iron Fleet, making it a valuable combat asset for Cersei. In exchange for Cersei's help in her war, Euron was promised that he could marry her. In addition, in the new season, he had sex with (possibly pregnant) Cersei and promised to place the prince in her womb.
Another theory about how Game of Thrones might end is that Euron still marries Cersei. This will make him king, and then everything that happens to the Lannister House will not matter, as the Greyjoy House will control the Iron Throne.
Euron brought the Golden Swords to Royal Harbor, a group of mercenaries who allegedly never violated the contract. But we are talking about Westeros, where the dead broke through the Wall, so mercenaries who violated their first contract will not be the most unexpected thing, given the current apocalyptic circumstances.
1. King of the Night
Of course, dragons and Valerian steel can kill the White Walkers - but who said that their King can be killed in this way? There is a shard of dragon glass in his heart that makes him who he is.
Just one wrong step from John Snow’s team, and the King of the Night will be able to direct his undead dragon directly into King's Landing and sit on the Iron Throne, freezing him forever. The end.
So the finale of Game of Thrones may indeed turn out to be bittersweet. Sweet for the King of the Night and bitter for the human race.
